Duduk Practice October 30, 2015 One of the demands of such an instrument is that you constantly practice and keep your chops in shape, even going a week or two without playing will affect your tone on the instrument, and ability to place pieces. Not to mention the reed will dry out and need a day or so to get back into prime playing response (depends on your reed and climate of course!). I’m guilty myself of lapsing times without practicing enough, but in the future I hope to avoid that and do more with the instrument, in the form of new materials for YouTube and for study.
